I don't think the leafs do this, Vlad just isn't the player he used to be. maybe playing with 2 of Matthews, marner, Tavares and Nylander helps, but I wouldn't bet on it with his injury concerns

Clifford isn’t exactly a guy that can fight these day. Maybe you can sign and trade barnaby or Avery to us? Might be close in age. Deslauriers, Reaves, and Kassian with retention are all cheaper but ya. If you think we are desperate to add a goon for 4 games of the season then make it a 1st SMH… imagine telling a team that lost 9-1 that they are desperate for defence and then demand 4 1sts for ADA… you really nail it bud. Wilson manhandled 1 player in 1 game. Ah well, Trouba will likely be looking for him head next match 🤷🏻‍♂️

That’s fair. I don’t think he would be our first target unfortunately. But again, it’s a minimal need. 4 games against Wilson or 82+ games with skilled players. Also Trouba was injured and I think he would change the Wilson mentality too. I could see us giving a 4th for a guy like him or someone of similar skill set and value
