McCann had .75 PPG this season. And back to back 35 point seasons the previous 2 years. Still just 25 years old. Foegele is actually a month older.

Like the idea of the CAR deal, but we probably add a bit considering Trocheck's good season.

Trocheck and Nino are both UFA after this season. Both just one year left on their deals. I would take either. But would rather Trochek; he’s from Pittsburgh and for salary reasons. And he can play C too.

Canes say no. Not saying value is way off but he’s extremely important to team who has been looking for 2C for years and he’s fit in pretty perfectly. He’ll likely be re-signed whereas Nino likely won’t. Sub Nino in and it’s probably a deal.

Ya, Trocheck is from Pittsburgh. That’s why I did him instead of Nino.

Zucker has zero value for the Canes. Definitely not worth giving up our only 2C.

Dallas is set up to lose Khudobin in the x draft. Bishop coming back. Oettinger proved ready for 1B.

Right. They can trade him b4 the x draft.

I'm saying it's intentional. They want to lose Khudobin. If they trade him before the draft they lose someone they're not prepared to lose.

And if it's before the draft Seattle takes him or Jarry from Pittsburgh...

Ya, I get it my man. But not necessarily. I’m not fan of paying Seattle to take a player. U shouldn’t make it worse. Just let them take 1 player and move on. It’s why VGK got good so quick. Everyone F-up and gave them assets to take a contract off their hands.

But Pens could give Seattle something to leave Khudobin and Jarry. Even though it’s not ideal and I’m not a huge fan of that move.

And who knows, they still could take Blueger and leave both goalies alone.

What am I missing?
Since he has been on the Pens, his PP time has been cut. He is highly sheltered with very high O zone start percentages. He still has almost non existent PK numbers. Looks like his best days are behind but still has 2 years and 5.5 million left.

He’s still a legit top 6. 29 years old. Just signed till 31 years old too.

He wasn’t healthy this season. Last season when he was healthy, had 10 points in 12 games with the Pens.

And he didn’t get time this season to build chemistry with any Pens line..he wasn’t healthy..It happens.

And it’s not like he’s injury prone and that’s a concern. He’s played 5 straight full seasons b4 last season. From 23-28 years old.

He still a talented goal scorer and playmaker. He’s fast, good shot, pesky defensively and plays physical, he’s just not physical imposing though. 5’11-195 pounds.

And he still had 18 points(9 goals) in 38 games this season. That’s still .5 PPG; while not being fully healthy and he didn’t even get hot and bring his stat averages up to normal career averages.

It would be like saying Nino has no value on the Pens. A top 6 wing has no value to a team. He’s 29 years old.

Scored 20 goals the previous year b/ween the Pens and Minny in a shortened season. 21 goals the year before that. 33 goals the year b4 that.

I mean, that’s three 20 plus goal seasons in a row and one injury plagued season. That shows he’s consistent and more likely to get back to that production than not.

Leafs don't do that.
