And if Ladd doesn't waive to Detroit?

Personally, I'd rather give up a pick if you had to to get them to take Leddy than just give them Eberle for nothing.

if they're gonna protect Bellows, my guess is he's in the lineup.

I think Eberle can be nicely replaced by Wahlstrom, but I don't think Leddy can be replaced as easily. Yes, Eberle is more important to the team, but Wahlstrom has proved he's capable of taking his spot. Bellows is a young and promising prospect, and if he's exposed over Eberle, he gets taken over Leddy.

Fair, why not trade Eberle pre-expansion? assuming that's allowed. idk when the trade window opens up.

Why is Zajac playing lw when there’s a large sample size of him being dogsh*t at that position

He cannot be reliably replaced from someone inside the organization. Bolduc, Hickey, and Aho could all replace him, but all are prone to make mistakes, Aho and Bolduc because they are young and Hickey because he's Hickey.

I’m not opposed to trading any winger besides beau/wahlstrom, but if we’re trading our best play driving winger (Eberle) than at least replace someone with his skillset under the age of 25....enough with the 30+ wingers.

        I.E... Wahlstrom?
Also, Lee is a winger who cannot be traded either.

Isles are better off signing a guy like leivo/kahun or letting MDC/golyshev take that role

I think Trotz, Lamoriello like Zajac's play, he doesn't make many mistakes and is sound defensively. However, he doesn't have much of an offensive side. I think he and MDC, Bellows can often be switched in and out of the lineup.

I’m talking about replacing eberles skillset in the lineup . Wahlstrom is a pure sniper. If they’re going to trade eberle or expose him, then they should trade for someone like Troy terry/garland

He made plenty of mistakes against Tampa and he was responsible for a few goals against. He cannot keep up , guys blow right by him.

Bellows is not a player that can go in an out of the lineup btw. Either play him or trade him.

Burying Ladd only saves the Isles 300,000 in cap. Buried in the AHL maybe, but his doctor wife works in New York, and the Isles farm club ain't far from New York.

It stifles development. He’s not a bottom 6 player. Top 6 or bust. it doesn’t seem like Trotz likes him anyways, might as well trade him to a team that will utilize him properly

Bellows is a middle six player. He’s not going to make it on the fourth line but he’d do well on the second or third. He can play in Bridgeport and fill in for injured forwards, not bad for development. Why do you say Trotz dislikes him? He played good until he played bad, so he got taken out. Then he got another chance and he wasn’t able to move the needle, so he didn’t play.
