Detroit don't have any roster spots open for wingers. They already have 9 waiver eligible ones penned in for next season + Raymond and Berggren.

If offered Byron they will see it purely as a cap dump and ask to be paid for taking him off your hands.

just stop making trdes with detroit. their fans want caufield to take byron. just trade him to seattle for picks, who can retian and flip him for a good return. ryan graves isn't the d-man we need. we need offensive firepower from the backend.

I like byron but I can't see them giving up picks for a bottom 6 forward. If they did kicking in more for a guy like foegele makes more sense.

unless Canadiens are retaining 50% Avs cant make that cap hit work for Graves. Not interested in taking him on at full price

Drouin and the fresh start with mack stuff just isnt going to happen, they wouldnt even play with one another. Drouin isnt taking anyones spot on the top line

Let’s be honest MTL fans, right now until there is clarity on his situation Drouin has negative value, as in he is a significant cap hit that may or may not pay. Nobody is accepting that risk right now, and to argue that isn’t the case is foolish. So in the current environment, Drouin and a 2nd would be to a team like Seattle or DET to move his cap hit, no way are you getting a significant piece back. Now that situation changes considerably if it turns out he is ok, but MTL winning without him isn’t helping his value.

Detroit is not a trade partner for Byron. Zero interest.
