Extremely overpaid on the Eichel deal.

Dillon's style is not the type of Defenseman the Kings need. We need a Offensive Defensive, or a two way D-man who can produce points. Bjornfot has the potential to become a better defenseman than Dillon I would say. Tough to say still. Another overpaid deal in my opion.

There's no reason to give away Quick. You would be lucky to get a 2nd pick for Quick alone, unless a team really wants him. I don't see any reason why Devils would want Quick as well.

Just my opinion. No hard feelings.

The WSH trade is awful for LA....the Devils trade is awful for NJD....neither make any sense....Eichel one is the only one where enough was thrown at the wall

Wow! Some amazingly horrible trades for LA. In fairness, the New Jersey trade also gets turned down by the Devils.

The Buffalo trade only makes sense to those who think Eichel is worth the equivalent of 6 first-round draft picks.

Brenden Dillon = Kurtis MacDermid plus the third

Sean Walker = Blake Comeau plus a 2021 second, but we wouldn't even do that because we have plenty of bottom-6 forwards (you've left out Lias Andersson and Andreas Athanasiou, not to mention our prospects) and only 3 NHL-qualified RDs; plus, Walker and $3 million in cap space is worth more to us than Tyson Barrie

Jonathan Quick is our backup, and judging from the Devils fans, those four elements are worth about three times to them what they are to us

Sabres accept in a landslide. At the very least the 22 1st can go and kempe downgraded a bit.

Basic stats time: Dillon finished this past season with more points than any LA defenseman not named Doughty. And with more hits than anybody they've got. And better plus/minus. He steps in as their immediate #2 defenseman, until they sign Barrie, at which point it's debatable.

Dillon scored more points this year than Maatta, Roy, and MacDermid put together, and would win a puck battle against any of them. Bjornfot and an early 2nd is fair for Dillon, although the Caps have enough LHD prospects and would be better-served with prospects at any other position.

But the Caps should not take on Kurtis MacDermid for just a 3rd round pick. There's a 50 contract limit and a guy who's been inexplicably elevated to the NHL is likely to be a morale issue in South Carolina.
