Fair enough.

I didn’t think Fluery was that highly thought of. I know JK is highly regarded. And has played well. But not a superstar or even a top 6.

Zucker is still a legit top 6. He’s 29 years old. Just signed till 31 years old too.

He wasn’t healthy this season.

Last season when he was healthy, had 10 points in 12 games with the Pens. And a 20 goal season combined with Minny and the Pens. In a shortened season

And he didn’t get time this season to build chemistry with any Pens line..he wasn’t healthy..It happens.

And it’s not like he’s injury prone and that’s a concern. He’s played 5 full seasons before last season. No major injures. Barely any missed games. From 23 years old.

He still a talented goal scorer and playmaker. He’s fast, good shot, pesky defensively.

And he still had 18 points(9 goals) in 38 games this season. That’s still .5 PPG; while not being fully healthy and he didn’t even get hot and bring his stat averages up to normal career averages.

And Canadians need a top 6 wing

It’s not but whatever..

Everyone’s player evaluations are different. No trades are fair in everyone’s eyes. It’s just different options on players.

Zucker having another 20 plus goal year next season, Is more likely than JK having one. I can tell u that though!!

Kotkaniemi have the same amount of goals than Crosby in the playoffs before the age of 21 yo. How many goals did Zucker had in the playoffs before 21 yo ? This is a garbage trade and the fact that you wrote all that is pathetic.

It’s like us trading Byron for Poulin
Byron is a solid bottom six player with 2+ 20 goals seasons, how many 20+ goals season does Poulin have ?

My bad, I meant it to be Lehtonen..not JK.. my bad. Ya, You’re right, I had Lehtonen mixed up with JK for some reason.

I had him replacing ZAR on the 4th line LW. I wouldn’t have Kotkaniemi in that position if I didn’t have them mixed up in my head.

Ya, I’m wrong, my bad. JK is a top prospect. I had him and Lehtonen mixed up for some reason.

What a stupid post all around. 1st off, Crosby had 9 goals in 25 games, Kotkaniemi has 9 goals in 29 games. Crosby also had 23 assists to go along with that, and Kotkaniemi has 3. Thats such a stupid comparison and makes absolutely zero sense. 2nd, Zucker played in a total of 0 playoff games before the age of 21. So again, makes absolutely zero sense to bring that up. 3rd, you really think Byron is worth more than Poulin? Zero shot. You bring up his 2 20 goal seasons..... that were 4 and 5 years ago. Hes had a total of 9 goals the past 2 seasons and has been injured for 3 straight years. And obviously Poulin is going to have zero 20 goal seasons considering he is 20 and just got drafted in 2019. Either way, he has the same amount of 20 goal seasons as Kotkaniemi. Your entire post was extremely stupid, and by far one of the most asinine things I have ever read on this website

Kotkaniemi also went like 20+ games without a goal this year. Not sure how many times Crosby or Zucker have done that

Ya, “in your opinion” the leafs decline.

I don’t think the Pens do it either though. I don’t think they trade anyone on their immediate roster for a player that won’t contribute immediately either.

Or a player on their immediate roster for draft capital. Maybe to get the cap space but most likely if they traded a player off the NHL roster. Another NHL
Player is coming back.

Although I disagree DeSmith isn’t a good idea for the leafs. Especially for the price and for the Leafs who are up against the cap.

He’s has the same #’s as Freddy Anderson at atleast half the price.

We’ll see what they resign Anderson at?? The definition of crazy..!! Keeping Campbell and Freddy Anderson again this season.

Should just keep him in Pitts if hes that good, no point in trading him. Especially if Jarry continues to not perform. Leafs wont resign Andersen. Leafs need a competent 1B goalie, not a guy with less than 3 full NHL seasons who played half the year in the AHL last year

What don’t u get??

It’s not my decision to just keep him. I hope the Pens do keep him. But it’s not my decision just like it’s not yours to resign Freddy. And every NHL insider say most likely they are. So good luck. I would rather DeSmith every day of week.

Yep. Me too. U are not apart of the team!! Leafs decline “in your opinion” or you’d be PO-ed if the Leafs made that trade..

I bet you use “we” when talking about the Leafs too.

This is a very easy add to ignore list!! Thanks!!
