One 1st Round Pick for Stamkos? No way that happens, Tampa would ask for way more. Plus, Stamkos has a no movement clause.

Yes he does .. BUT they asked him to waive it last year .. confirmed by JBB .. if a good deal was found ... Tampa only has a core of 4 .. and I would.put McDonough and Killorn ahead of Stamkos after that .

Stamkos has the 3rd best xgf% (this playoffs) and in the last 3 years he’s 7th in p/60. Your logic is so good lol

If tampa could pick you're right stamkos would be the odd man out. Not because they don't love him but because 1 guy solves most of your issues. I mean it won't happen because stamkos only makes sense for teams in win now mode and good luck getting him under the cap and not taking cash back in a deal.

Mantha was untouchable, up until Washington made an offer that was so good that it was impossible to say no to it.

If you make an equally generous offer maybe we will say yes here too.

The mantha deal got us a younger better replacement player + a 1st + a 2nd + a grinder.

Here you want us to pay for an old centre on a huge contract that won't be good when Detroit is out of the rebuild.

If you think Stamkos is the best thing since sliced bread why are you trying to get rid of him?

No he's not. He's on the wrong side of 30 and will be retired long before Detroit is ready to compete. All he will have achieved here is to waste our money and block better deals for players with a future on the team.

We don't want him, he is not a good fit on a rebuilding team that is looking to get younger and faster and to acquire picks and prospects, not spend them on old veterans.
