New management new ADA lol

Created by: NYR1983

Team: 2021-22 New York Rangers
Team Explanation
As much as everyone may dislike the guy you can’t deny his offensive ability. Now paired with a shutdown type D. The old coach/management team said he was done, since they have all been replaced. They may see if different and move the player he fought with out of the organization in a package to get JE. Possibly he can be grounded under new coaching staff and succeed.

Better than buying him out imo. Plus he plays with an edge/ temper that we could use more of on the ice.

How is it nonsense? All the guy did was give him another chance with a defensive guy to utilize his offensive capabilities.

You realize he has played on the L side with the Rangers and in the juniors?? Knowledge > ignorance

Can’t you tell me who announced they were buying him out?

Yeah but not a new backup goalie or LW3. I dont see this going down well with the team even if it does with mangement/coaching staff.

We don’t know what has actually transpired in the locker room. He and Geo got into it and the team split it up, then management said he was done in NYR. It’s possible that no one else had any issues with him other than Geo and coaches(coaches that were a problem themselves). It’s just good for thought really. Everyone is certain of a buyout when that makes the least sense if the only player he has issues with are the back up G. Also I’m missing what you’re saying about the G2 and LW3?

It’s the Chris Drury connection, I don’t think it will actually happen but who knows. It’s just a mock trade. We could just keep those assets and bring Barron up. Was just having some fun.

That trade idea was made before the signing, when it was very possible he would hold out to sign with NYR for free. Now that he has signed it doesn't make as much sense, but it still has the nepotism connection and fills minor prospect needs

Ah ok, I didn't realize there was a rumor of him holding out and signing with NY, glad he signed, wouldn't want another Adam Fox situation, I think Drury is going to be good

Did he play on the left side for the Rangers in the NHL? Ahhhhh......NO. Ignorance. As to the buy-out......you're right, they sat him all year next year because of his cancerous attitude for the team, but they are going to bring him back next year like it never happened. Grow up. $10,000 grand he gets bought out.....deal?

It's nonsense because it is OBVIOUS he will be bought out. They didn't sit the guy all this season for NO reason. It wasn't personal between him and Gorton, it was several things he did over his years with the team. You don't think Drury knows that? You think he wants to bring a cancer back into the locker room? It's simply NONSENSE.

If he can help the team on ice, I don’t give a damn who hates him or what he does on his free time. My concern is on the ice.

It has NOTHING to do with his free time or political views, it has to do with TEAM CHEMISTRY and TEAM RULES. He obviously crossed the line more than once and was warned by the GM that the next time was his last, and then he crossed it again with Georgie. He got the boot, and he earned it, so there is no way on earth they bring him back into the locker room. It's nonsense to think they would even entertain the idea. The cheapest way to get rid of him is a buy out because he only gets 1/3 of the total owed. No other team wants to take a chance on him at that cap hit, and who could blame them, and to trade him it would cost more than a buy out because they would have to hold onto 50% of his cost. It's math.

His problem was with getting scratched and Quinn. Georgie was the icing on the cake. I bet if he had another shot, he’d turn it around.

The issues with the team last year were specifically linked to Geo and Quinn. At least publicly speaking. Unless you’re in that locker room and have info the rest of us don’t?! Quinn sat him for the year and said he is done, not Drury or gallant. Also there’s video footage from training camp with the media asking about playing on the left side as he played it through training camp. Paired with Trouba specifically.

Yeah, and how did that experiment work out? Did he play the left side with Trouba? And it was not Quinn that kicked him from the team, it was Gorton. Jeff Gorton spoke about it at the time and said it was his call. No way they sat him all year to bring him back next season. Are you in the locker room? How do you know what Gorton was thinking? You think he just didn't like Tony so he kicked him off the team just months after giving him a new contract and fat raise? Think. $10k he gets bought out....interested?

Yeah, its always next time with him it seems. Every team he has been on traded him despite his offensive talents. Maybe they all had a reason? $10k he gets bought out.....interested?

You seem pretty hostile about a hypothetical situation bud, you should probably seek help. So, sure, Gorton as the GM released the statement but you can’t be that naive to think it was Gortons decision to bench him and remove him from the team. But seriously kid, smoke a joint or something, no need to go postal over an acgm. Take care of yourself

Yeah, who would think that the GM of a hockey team was the one that made a decision to kick a player off the team? It's not like the roster is his job or anything. LOL...I think you need the joint.
