Yes I agree this is probably a dumb idea long term, but im bored so I made this anyway

Also im probably underpaying some FAs so this probably wouldnt realistically fit under the cap unless some guys took discounts

    You're probably at least $1,000,000 under both Grubauer and Landeskog and adding Stamkos $8,500,000 x 3 good luck signing MacKinnon in 2 years. When he's asking for 8 x $10,000,000 if not more.

    I don't hate the top 6, i always worry about stamkos health. But if he just wants to come back for playoffs maybe we can land hall for regular season as well smile

    Stammer is shot. I'm super happy he won 2 cups but he has nothing left at this point.

    Dumping kadri is a good idea but stamkos is such a risk for a team thats right there on the edge of winning.

    Yup I said that in the description. this would require some discounts. They would find a way to sign Mackinnon though, they have 2 years before needing to clear cap for that so might as well use it while they can

    theres definitely injury concerns but when healthy hes still great. Its probably a safer move to avoid him and keep Kadri and Newhook though tbh

    On the open market Grubauer gets at least 5 x $6,500,000 and Landeskog between 7 x $7,500,000 to 7 x $8,000,000 so very doubtful either would take discounts to stay in Colorado. This is probably Grubauers last chance to get a nice healthy contract.

    I would go as far to say that next year Newhook himself will likely be as impactful as Stammer is at this point. It really is a shame because injuries robbed us of what may have been the most lethal scorer ever but this is far past injuries being 'a concern' they have already done their damage.

    I think Grubauer is likely to take a discount to stay in COL based on his recent comments https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/2187022

    I agree Landeskog maybe would need more, it seems like STL is gonna go after him pretty heavily if he makes it to UFA

    Landy will not be signed for $8,00,000 its a flat cap, the market has changed, he may get that price tag somewhere else, but if he wants to stay with the Avs he will be signed some where in the $6,850,000 - $7,250,000.
