<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BeastModeUnknown</b></div><div>look at your team amount 9 Million you need a goaltender better than Gruabauer and I'll tell ya what it's gonna be 5-8 Million dollars for a reliable goalie. Landeskog wants 9-10 Million only willing to take a slight hometown discount deal to most likely 8.5 Million, MacKinnon most likely makes near or more than what McDavid makes. Jost is going to be an upped. You add it all up you get around 30 million added into that and that doesn't include any of the depth pieces you have to make a team worth your while.</div></div>

I guess we will have to wait and see once Landy signs, we can talk about what he wants all day long, but one look at the recent deals will tell you that hes not going to get 8.5 million with the avs and will not get 9-10 in the open market unless its a **** team (he was not able to come to terms with Seattle who has tones of cap space to work with) Hall at $6 mill, Nugent Hopkins at $5.125 a Flat cap dont see gabriel getting what he "reportedly wants" in this market. Grubby will prolly be signed for $6 mil by us (for better or for worse) and Nate has said multiple times he wants rings not money, so he will sign a fair value deal for himself but it wont over what McDavid makes, that whole Erik Johnson salary could go to Nate. I think as long as they keep the core together (Nate, Makar, Mikko, (insert 5-8 million Goalie), Landy) and can sign good value players they will be more then Fine. Teams have to learn how to lose before they learn to win the Avs core is still very young Tampa, Washington, St. Louis all had to lose alot before they won.
