Philly declines. We are not looking for a LHD nor does Lindholm with 1 year left have that much value.

Make the 2nd in the Eichel trade conditional that if Eichel plays 65 games it turns into a first.

Absolutely not. It makes zero sense for the Ducks to trade the farm for Eichel. If you can find a better trade partner, do it. This is already excessive given the injury concerns.

Players like Eichel don't become available very often, I think this is worth the risk for the Ducks especially if they can get him without giving up Zegras and Drysdale.

Best possible example of why trading picks/prospects for star players is a bad idea when your team isn't even close to contention-Phil Kessel. That is exactly how this would end up.

I'm not against adding Eichel, I'm against mortgaging the future to add Eichel. Think about it-Anaheim finished 2nd last this past season. Adding Eichel *might* get them up to 7th or 8th worst in the league. He doesn't take this team from the basement to the playoffs. So, you're potentially (most likely) giving up 2 lotto picks, a 22 year old who has shown massive upside as a top line winger, a 21 year old who probably projects to be a 3rd liner, with some upside, one of the top goaltending prospects in the league, and Larsson.

This also doesn't take into account that Eichel's main issue so far has been the Sabres not being a playoff team (Obviously that was before the injury concerns with the team). So, Eichel comes over and the main difference is the weather. What's to say that he doesn't turn around and absolutely handcuff the Ducks once his NMC kicks in? That'd be a fun return...

IMO, the only reason the Ducks are being linked to Eichel is that they've got cap space, picks, and good prospects. It's a convenient. It has nothing to do with the fact that it's completely illogical for a team that's at least 2 years away to go out and blow their prospect wad to get him, regardless of whether Drysdale or Zegras are included.

@Lenny7 hits all the right points in the longer of his two comments, so I'll be brief: Henrique (to make the money work), Jones or Lundestrom or Steel, Larsson or Mahura, 2021 first.

Speaking of Henrique, we're not paying Seattle to take him.

Manson would have to come with an extension for you to even get a sniff at pick 13 let alone us adding anything.

I don't disagree at all.
