They get a higher pick to take on Carrier who will suit up for the Wings every night, I don't think it's a bad deal for Detroit.

Vegas needs to re-tool or they won't be good enough to win the cup. Going to need to make a moderate to big change in the top 6 and add some scoring other than Tuch to the bottom six.

I do think it would be hilarious for VGK to be like "you know what we need? MORE WINGERS!"

No elite center on the FA market, Eichel is too expensive, and Kuznetzov is a problem, so I'm not sure who the right move would be at center.

No thanks on Carrier, He's 26 years old a 3rd line winger making 3 x $1,400,000 for only a 4th round pick that has less then a 25% chance of even making the NHL. Even then this is a futures package McCrimmon isn't getting a 5th out of us.

The ask of Vegas would be Reilly Smith, Tuch, Krebs or Glass (maybe both) and a first for Eichel. I'd much rather have Tuch, Krebs, Tarasenko, and Garland rather than just Eichel and Glass or Krebs.

1.4 million isn't expensive, he's a good hustle and grit player. The wings won't be competitive until after his contract is up. You move up 15ish picks to take on a player that you can use and is very cheap. It's not like he's going to be what keeps the wings from competing.

Wings have tons of players in their bottom 6 that provide the exact same style of play as William Carrier Givani Smith is one and he's much cheaper. Detroit needs high end scoring wingers not a bunch of useless 3rd and 4th line players.

Detroit already have 9 waiver eligible wingers penned in for next season + Raymond and Berggren.

I mean thats certainly a choice haha, but I can respect differences of opinions like this.

The value isn;t terrible, but it will probably be a looooong time before the Blues helping Vegas in any way.

Could anybody give me the scoop on Glass? I remember liking him in his draft year and think he performed well in his D+1 and D+2 seasons, but haven't really kept tabs so much the last two years. For some reason I thought he trended a little downwards lately, but perhaps that's not the case? Would be much appreciated!
