At this point I just hope there’s no side deal. Just let them take either bailey or eberle

Maybe I’m overthinking it but is it possible it doesn’t make a difference here cause we could say leave eberle open for you to select and we send a pick and prospect or two for you to select tarasenko (or Dunn etc) and trade him to us immediately following the selection?

I doubt it - Francis is going to fleece teams. He's not doing anyone favors

The argument here would be that ur willing to move eberle cause he has value and there was value in allowing them to select him I think Wilde would also need to go in the trade and maybe more but the 22 1st would be off the table for me too

I’m not saying he sucks I think he’d fit on the second line great but the first line needs a different type of player that’s my whole point there

Tarasenko isn’t a 1st line player. The only upgrade over eberle potentially available is Landeskog

Eberle has had a 1st line impact the past two seasons

IF It was to go after Landy at 8.5 million per year would you give up Eberle

Could be the best move tbh. We've finally broken even on draft capital and I do feel good about Wahlstrom being able to replace Eberle eventually, just not this season. While not as effective as Eberle, Bailey did have okay impacts on the top line with Lee and Barzal this year (better goal share, with lower, but still strong Corsi and xG shares). Assuming he stays, we could have Bailey, Wahlstrom, Golyshev and Clutterbuck down the right side and be okay.

I personally think Lou is going after Landeskog. Also I think that Wahlstrom is good enough to have a similar impact as Eberle next season. He's well above average in xGA/60 and CA/60 and clearly he's already a borderline elite finisher. He'll never drive play as well as eberle but he'll increase the rate the isles score goals better especially if he's on a line with Barzal.

Locally confirmed Landeskog is asking the Avs for 8x$9-10M. Good luck getting him to accept that deal.

Bro how is anyone going to pay him 9-10 million no one has that money in a cap strapped league. I could see him go to Lou's Isles at 8.5 . More likely he just stay in Ave's land for the 7.7 million range

I’m just saying what was confirmed locally in what he is asking the Avs. Yeah my mind was blown that he would even ask for that.

He might be the Ave fifth valuable player no way he is getting that much, Avs might just go out in Free Agency and pick up Hyman if Landy won't resign

I’m not arguing I’m just saying what is out there for what he is asking. If that is truly the case COL should move along, they could sign 2 guys for that.
