If ANA is in, I'm in too. We need a guy like Rackell

Why are the pens suddenly have to pay for everybody else’s cap dumps, but when pens fans trade a top 9 or top 4 d they have to multiple firsts just to trade them?

Hawks are trying to win this season, and it appears Fleury is more open to playing in Chicago. I don't think the Hawks want to take on more salary if they trade De Haan.

As someone who sees a lot of Ducks hockey, I can tell you that Rakell has definitely lost a step. He isn't as slow as Silfverberg, but he just doesn't look the same. Ducks should've capitalized on his value two years ago.

I loved Rakell because I never forgot how he literally THREW his body in the way on Vermette's first shot before the latter's 2OT goal in 2015. After that I was quite the vocal proponent, for years, of saying we should pry him out of Anaheim's sinking ship. Sadly, the time was long ago and his ship has sunk.

Unless it's Vince Dunn as a trade-to-upgrade.

Yeah, but at that point, what do the hawks even have that would entice Seattle? Strome and Nylander? I'd do that to keep salary even, but that's about it.

I would be willing to give them exactly that package if it got them to give us Dunn. He's a gem and the Hawks would be making a mistake not picking him up now. He'd be that last piece that would turn this defense totally around.

Also, side note, your avatar is still the best on this whole site. Every time someone posts something dumb and you take them down a notch for it, seeing that avatar first makes it magic.

I do agree with you, he'd be a great add if it's the right price and he can get full time PPQB duties, something he never got before. This team needs one more D man, and maybe a 2nd line RW and it's a legitimate contender.

Thanks, this avatar is timeless really, I don't know if it'll ever get old. It's a Capfriendly staple at this point.

Absolutely, I never thought it would be possible to put a contender together at this point, but that idiot Bowman is close. And Dunn would be amazing at PPQB! And we need that.

We shall name this staple... The Tortsatar!

Dunn and Tatar might be the final two pieces really, just have to make the money work somehow.

You think Tatar has anything left, after the Habs chose not to put him in the lineup at all these playoffs?

I'm fairly certain he was injured, I wouldn't mind him one a one year prove it deal.

Fair play, the talk out of Montreal was that he was "not chosen" or "scratched consistently" and that there must've been a "personality issue." But who knows...
