NSH declines across the board. They're losing every trade here. Not to mention they can't retain salary on six players.

That's a pretty nice trio of assets you'd like to send to Edmonton and perhaps two weeks ago they might have considered a similar trade proposal, I just don't think Holland would part with Broberg and a 1st round pick back then. As nice as it would be for the Oilers to have Fabbro, in particular, and DeBrusk, they no longer have enough cap space or room on their roster for those two.

I'd counter with Edmonton's 2023 1st round pick for Jusse Saros, and I'd offer you either Dmirty Samorukov or Markus Niemelainen for taking on the last year of Koskinen's contract. That deal would give the Oilers their starting goaltender, and give Nashville an overpaid average NHL goaltender on an expiring contract, a pick that is likely to fall somewhere between 25 and 32 overall, and one of the Edmonton's two NHL ready LHD prospects, You choose between a solid, physical two-way Russian d-man with some offensive flair, or a big smooth skating Finn with high hockey IQ, solid defensive acumen, and an ability to move the puck quickly. Both appear to be on track for good NHL careers, but the Oilers don't have room for them, Nurse, and Broberg.

You've left them with a team almost as bad as their inaugural lineup. If the Preds were to sell off every valuable player as you've done here, they should be getting some actual high end prospects back. Amirov is about the best one, which is pretty poor considering they're selling off Josi, Forsberg, Saros, Ekholm, etc. Not to mention doubling up on the max amount of retained salaries too.
