Could this get him

Description
Larkin only has 2 years left before UFA. Get a top prospect in Lundkvist, a young center in Chytil, a wildcard in gauthier who has yet to get a real shot in the nhl, and a 1st. Considering Detroit isn’t competing the next two years, do they really say no? They would have a sick defensive core, and could always resign Larkin in two years.

I feel like it *could* be close value, but I can't imagine the Wings have any plans to move their hometown 1C.

My thoughts exactly. I'd love to see what Larkin can do with a legit team around him and Detroit is building just that,

Larkin is the player Detroit is building around and they just named him captain. I know that doesn't mean much to most but it is a big deal in Detroit. Since the 1986-87 season when Yzerman was named captain they have had only 4 with Larkin being the 4th.

So the value is close but Detroit won't be trading him anytime soon.

Hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer to see Larkin with a legit team around him.

Sharks fan but I love what Yzerman is building there. Putting 313 back on the map!

That's honestly a pretty good offer for Larkin and probably what it would cost to land him, The only way i see Yzerman dealing him is if he makes it known that he wont resign. And i've my doubts that would happen.

Yeah I know it is very unlikely, especially since he's the captain. I like Larkin and it's unfortunate he's never been on a competitive team. He put up 70+ a few years back, is solid in the dot and isn't afraid to go to the dirty areas. Much better than strome at 2c. Of all the other names outside Eichel being thrown around (hertl, monahan, kuznetsov) I'd much rather have Larkin.
