holl can do exactly what manson does, and dermott is perfect for that 3rd pairing. you've traded our top prospect for someone we essentially already have, so there's no point to that.

No reason for Seattle to trade for rental Reilly, even if Dunn hadn't been extended. If "home" is that important to Reilly, he'll just sign with Seattle next season. That's a horrible trade for Leafs getting the very middling soon be UFA Manson.

Seattle isnt giving up their first which could turn out to be pretty high in a loaded draft for one year of Reilly. If he agrees to an extension as part of the trade then I could see both sides being interested but since you didn’t list that I’m assuming he tests FA next offseason
