It's abundantly clear you don't watch the Leafs so this is just made up opinions you are getting from other people on hockey forums. His ability to stand up opponents at center ice of the blueline is text book defending and he's absolutely terrific at it. His defensive game has far outpaced his offence which is fine, he doesn't need to be offensive in the NHL. He's going to be an effective NHLer without a doubt.

Oh I have watched plenty of liljeren. You’re just overrating your prospects, that’s what leads fans do. Leafs fans overrate prospects, they never turn out as good. They overrate the leafs, they always fall short. You guys a f*cking hilarious. Liljeren will be lucky to be a 15-17 min per night 3rd pairing D

The leafs suck - they’ll never make it out of the 1st round. By your logic you have never enjoyed a leafs season over your lifetime 😂 damn that must be awful. I feel for you.

What are you even talking about? The point being made is Islander fans are pretty little babies because they brag about losing better. I am not at all saying anything else. And your response is to insult the leafs and leaf fans because you're a bunch of petty babies. Like when grown men cried when JT left and are still bitter children about. Be embarrassed. You absolutely should be.

Sure you do, you have said many many many things already that have no basis in reality. Just bragging about losing better. Just a ****ing clown

You keep just reinforcing you don't watch the Leafs and are just making stuff up. JT's best ever season in the NHL happened with Marner. Same with Matthews. I agree both are more important players than Marner but to say they are better without him is absolutely just made up bull****. You aren't even trying here anymore.

You’re wrong. Matthews and Tavares GF/60 increase without Marner meanwhile Marners GF/60 plummets without them. Facts, so Stop crying. He’s a complimentary playmaking winger.

Two seasons ago Bode Wilde and Walhstrom were sure fire superstars. Same with Ho Sang. Dobson was supposed to challenge for the Calder because he was as good as Makar. You are not wrong about some Leaf fans over valuing prospects but come on, this is classic pot calling the kettle black. Made even more ridiculous by someone saying Liljegren, who you absolutely haven't likely ever seen play, a guy who will be a solid but not spectacular player. That isn't building a statue for a player it's making a reasonable and measured prediction. But please tell me how better you are at losing and overvaluing your prospects. ****ing loser

I just fact checked your statement and it is false. The leafs lost in the 1st round, the islanders beat their first round opponent. So they did not lose, sorry to break it to you.

Tavares left 3 years ago to chase a cup and the Leafs have regressed every year 😭 you hate to see it!

41 goals in 53 games for Matthews, playing the entire season with Marner. JT's best season was his first with Marner. These are facts sir. Spewing bull**** for the sake of your own hubris is laughable. Do you even hear yourself? Might as well start saying Matthews is a robot and Marner is a fish which is why they won't win. That is how ridiculous you are being. But enough of the Leafs let's talk about how cool the Islanders are for losing later.

You can't even fact check right and then brag about losing that battle as well. This is just tragic. Just checking to see what my statement was, "the Islanders didn't win the cup, you just lost later". Oh look at that, a correct statement that your bitter little baby brain can't understand. Keep being proud of how good you are at still winning nothing.

Bode Wilde was always boom or bust, he likely tops out as a 2nd pair D . Wahlstrom was incredible last season as a 20 year old rookie, he will be on Barzal’s wing next season. Good try though. Dobson is still on a top pair trajectory, he’s been very good over the last two seasons. Not sure why you’re bringing up Wahlstrom and Dobson, they are meeting, if not exceeding expectations 😂

I have seen liljeren play a bunch of times 👍

Just fact checked again, your statement is false. Sources are telling me the islanders have improved every season over the last 3 years while the leafs have gotten worse. Leafs window is going to close before it even started 😹

Sure bud, everything always works out for the Islanders, no one will ever decline or be a cap problem, all your rookies will be superstars and you'll win the cup just like you did last year. Oh wait, you didn't win the cup, you lost like everyone other than Tampa. Oh and you have the oldest team in the league. Things will definitely never change.

Weird because TO would have set a franchise record for points in a season last year had it been a full 82 game season. So once again for fact checking is wrong again. You really are bad at this

Its funny how you think the are Rangers more relevant n NY when they just went out and got grinding fourth liners for toughness by copying the Isles so they won't get beat down by Tom Wilson ,hilarious

Rangers are more relevant in New York regardless of what either team does.

Usually things workout for the islanders, that’s the 1st correct statement you’ve made! Isles 27 + under players > Leafs 27 and under players - keep dreaming buddy

This is great. Leafs were playing in the by far the worst division in hockey, congrats on those regular season points though 😂. Now the real fun starts. Toronto is significantly worse than Florida, Tampa, and Boston. Toronto will be a wild card team at best next season

Who's bragging? I am just pointing out that once again a "fact" you are making is indeed, not a fact. That isn't bragging. Now that we've established you don't know what bragging means, this whole conversation makes more sense. You are clearly in a class of your own in terms of being utterly absent of intelligence

Hahah you were definitely bragging, the leafs played in a Mickey Mouse division - it was comprised of a bunch of lottery + fringe playoff teams. The leafs got worse and there’s a reason they lost to Montreal (worse than last years columbus team)

Suzuki played the whole series and Romanov was in for the first couple games. You didn't watch a game and are just chirping and as usual for Islander fans are extremely proud about losing better than other teams.

Only Suzuki was in every game, Romanov didn't coming into the playoffs until the second round, what are you talking about

Solid joke. Why do I get the feeling you’re the kind of guy who gets mad when the NHL partners with Barstool Sports.
