Exchanging signed-long-term Sean Walker for one-year-rental Josh Manson would be a terrible idea all by itself, but at a cost of Mike Anderson and a first-round draft pick? That's the worst idea anyone's had for the Kings since all those Turcotte, Quick and our 2021 first-round draft pick (the eighth overall selection!!) for Sam Reinhart trades the Buffalo guys were throwing around last month.

Seattle Trade - Seattle would decline. You have a top 4 defenseman and a potential 20 goal scorer. Lemieux and Maatta don’t really have any value.

Ducks Trade - Michael Anderson is turning out to be a solid defenseman. Josh Manson is great but I wouldn’t lose Anderson over him. Especially when we also have to give a 1st as well. Manson is definitely better than Anderson right now but I do believe Anderson has great potential.

Sharks Trade - not enough value to acquire Timo.

Blues Trade - Walker is easily worth a 2nd + 4th.

Yeah. Anderson right now is better than Larsson or Mahura and should turn out to be good enough to replace Lindholm (if we don't re-sign him) or Fowler down the line. Even an over-the-horizon first plus a fourth on top of that is good in exchange for Manson, and there's no assurance we'll be able to (or perhaps even want to) re-sign Josh.
