That would probably be ideal for buffalo, allow him to grow his stock. IDK why they won't let him have the surgery it doesn't really make sense to me.

Yeah both sides seem to really have dug in and are being unreasonably stubborn. I don’t think BUF liked some of the statements going out publicly and that spurned this situation into them peacocking saying they have all the leverage. Which is fine, maybe they do Bc of CBA language and holding his contract but can’t see how this doesn’t hurt the team as much as JE until it’s resolved.

Very stupid take. Price was great. So was Habs Big 4. So was Danault. Was were Habs kids. Timely scoring from Toffoli and Anderson as well. Hell even Lehkonen and Evans were playing "hero" at times.

You don't get to the SCF with 1 player. As a Leaf fan that see Matthews, Marner and Tavares fail to win 1 round, you should know that. (Campbell's and Andersen's playoff stats are insane, just stop)

andersen 0-7 in play off cliching games? get real

After seeing your defense in the playoffs, you probably could use him...

So, you obviously haven't paid attention to the changes the Jets made this off season. Also, adding a bad defenseman doesn't make a defense better, it just adds a bad defenseman.

I think the real deadline is next July. That’s when his NMC kicks in and another bonus is due. Not ideal to let it go that far but I think it’s trending to playing out that way. Adam’s is going to keep a high ask, teams will likely continue to balk at it given the risk, they let him get the surgery during the season and then he plays second half as a showcase of his health. That’s how I think it’ll play out at least.

Thats a hard deadline, but Eichel's value is only going to drop from here. So he can wait all he wants, but he isn't getting his insane ask for an injured player, signed longterm at 8 digits, who has been known to have attitude issues and apparently can't elevate his teammates games.

Habs don't need him, and I wouldn't trade even half of the package listed above for this headache player.

Yeah, has nothing to do with your other Stars being shut out in those games... you're right.

"depth" not bad. Also no, i dont normally care what Winnipeg does, and after looking, not really impressed still.

Literally any player in the NHL is good enough for Detroit. Lehkonen can keep his elite shutdown game and Conference Finals heroics in Montreal, don't worry

No, he's an expensive replacement level defenseman. Winnipeg doesn't need him and Montreal needs all the help they can get.

Potentially. But if he gets surgery and recovers and shows that he’s healthy and back to himself on the ice, many teams will come back to the table. Maybe MTL won’t, but I’d anticipate at least 5 teams would be interested with strong packages to offer when that time comes.

Eichel doesn't make sense for Montreal nor do we need to destroy our good prospect pool to get him

doesn't make sense for montreal..... ? kinda think he makes perfect sense actually. we are overloaded on wingers, ld prospects, and badly need a top center.

He doesn't make sense because we can't afford to pay him and the players around him because we are loaded on wingers who make north of 4mil and will play 3rd line

really hope this is not MB's perspective. move drouin and/or anderson to make room for eichel.... he is 10x the game breaker either of those two are.

No one wants them, you'd pay to get rid of them and pay to get eichel. it just doesn't work for MTL because of their contracts that are on the books for 3+ years still
