pens could do better. Pettersson to the isles makes sense though

What do you think it would take without Leo komarov involved. From looking on Twitter it seems like the Pens are just trying to get rid of him at this point

Idk, theres alot of grit on this team. I think the pens would be intrested in Cizikas if he wasnt a UFA. Obviously Komarov and Clutterbuck could be good choices, but overall I think the pens could get more for him. Theres lots of grit and apparently lots of teams intrested. Even Nelsen is a good fit for PIT. but the isles im sure wouldnt give him up for pettersson, and it wouldnt fit the cap.

I think with pettersson his reputation isn’t great , but he’s a solid two way D. IMO it would take a 3rd rd pick straight up to get him. Maybe a 2nd because the isles are in the same division

Maybe, but hes still a young defenseman. Covid reuined alot of players years. So I think teams need to believe in the young age and value that he actually has. Before covid happened he was worth at least a 2nd and a prospect. I still believe he has that value, because of the years he had before and his young age.

I agree. He definitely has value, I just can’t see him returning more than a 2nd right now. I’m assuming the pens want make PO joseph a regular next season right? He was pretty good last year

yeah, but they also said they dont wanna dump pettersson for nothing because he still has value. If we trade Pettersson im sure POJ will play.

Not unless he bulks up. They weren’t happy with the way he faded down the stretch which happens to guys who are scrawny.

The pens aren't adding to Pettersson to get Nelson. Any deal to get nelson, Pettersson would be what was added to the main package.

Pens could do better? A 2nd and a 4th? Komarov provides some bottom six depth for one season. I'd argue the Isles are overpaying.

If the Pens are trying to get rid of Petterson I'd probably lowball them if I were Lou, but there's probably a market for him so the deal's fair enough. I wouldn't say no to having Petterson but I would be hesitant to get rid of Komarov to a Metro team.

I'm still waiting to see how a whole season unfolds at this point. I'm at the point where either he really tried to move Zucker and/or Pettersson and just couldn't find a solid deal that made sense, or just wasn't aggressive enough. I know he publicly stated that he only wanted hockey deals for either player, not cap dumps, which I found to be unwise.
