Not sure why the Bruins make that trade even retained... Would rather bet on Studnicka figuring it out and keeping the 1st or using it for something better.

Preds hit the Yes button faster than you can say "Erat and Latta for Forsberg".

I don't think the Panthers have interest in Zboril. He isn't the top4 guy they need and they do not have a spot for him on the roster. Also, Acciari as a depth forward is too valuable to give away for a project with no quarantee on getting anything in return.

Really? Retaining $3.5M for four years for a presumably late 1st, a reclamation project, a B prospect, and a cap dump? Not a fan of it for the Preds.

Buying him out after the 21-22 season is a cap hit of 2.666667 for six years. A 1st, a b prospect a reclamation project, averages about 20 goals per 80, and a cap dump isn't so bad. Maybe some retention on Moore...

No way I am retaining $3.5M. I do the deal like this - Johansen to Bos (Nsh retain $2M) and Nsh gets DeBrusk, 2022 1st, 2023 3rd

I don't see Johansen as a buyout candidate. His troubling lack of point production aside, he's still a good player. I'd rather have him at $8M than Debrusk at $7.1M.
