Thank you for putting Edmonton second! Boston may fall out of the playoffs, but I doubt it…. Carolina, and Colorado are two hard ones to predict, because if their goalies go down, they will be screwed! And Raanta, Anderson, and Kuemper are injury prone.

No, not at all. The atlantic division is so unpredictable. And with Krecji gone, I can see them slip

do you see the pens being a top 4 team in the metro? I dont. Devils have the better defense, thats why I gave them the edge

the bruins over the habs, the wild over the hawks. the flames over the nucks, honestly the pens might beat out the canes, they got bad.

Look at the off-season difference between the Devils, and Rangers! Devils got Hamilton, Graves, Bernier, Tatar etc. Rangers got Goodrow, Nemeth etc. Devils will be better. They got that on top of their good young team!

That’s true I guess but if Crosby stays healthy and puts up points I think this team is pretty good

If crosby and malkin can stay healthy, the defense be better and goaltending be good. Then they can without a doubt make some noise, but for right now Idk if they would make a wildcard spot

Ya, Krejci is gone, but they really added a lot of depth. I think the loss of Krejci, if he isn’t back by the post season (and the language out of boston has indicated that a return this season is very possible) it will hurt in the playoffs, but I don’t think it will hurt them too badly in the regular season. They’ve still got that top line, they still have mcavoy, they still have Hall as a second line player which is a good thing, and the habs, despite their darling run, is still the team that finished 18th in the league last season while playing in the worst division. And toronto is still toronto (meh).

I put habs over bruins because they have way more promising and playoff experienced youth on the roster than boston. If the wild can work things out with kaprizov, I'll swap them with Chicago in a heartbeat. I think vancouver, seattle and calgary will be close, however vancouver is a tad younger and seattle has no expectations and pressure.

That looks pretty reasonable. There may be a few teams here and there that flip, but fairly realistic expectations here.

Do they though? The habs basically just have this season when it comes to playoffs. They beat the two cup cake matches in the north, they beat vegas, and hats off to them. Then they got obliterated in the final.

Most of Boston’s youth has a game 7 final under their belt, and then two second round appearances.

Also, what does that have to do with the regular season? Also, the habs just lost their number 1 d man. Also, while Price was awesome in the playoffs, are we supposed to just forget that he’s been pretty mediocre the last three years?

Krejci is awesome. Assist machine. They don’t have another true top six center. It’s going to hurt a lot, but i think it will hurt more in the playoffs than the regular season.

Why does everyone seem to think Seattle will be a playoff team? It's bizarre.

I think the habs forward youth will take a few steps forward this year. Also im not saying boston is a bad team, they still have the experience and skill and arguably the best top line in the league. I just think the two clubs will be neck and neck.
Yes while Price has been mediocre, the defense in front of him affected his overall numbers. also id say the number 1d is now petry.

There defense is strong, goalie tandem is solid. They will be a pain to play against

Their defense has some talent, but also some major issues. And the forward group is a big problem.

Honestly I think the bruins are 20+ points clear of the habs, just like they were the last time a normal season was played. Cinderella run out of montreal, but they aren’t a good team…..and they lost arguably their most value skater.
