If I had to guess there gonna treat Him as a 2 year rental (qualify him Next year) if he doesn’t live up, let him walk. At worst he doesn’t preform and you get 2 serviceable years out of a young player who had good upside and lost (still a 3c, just not worth the money). At best he breaks out as a cane and is worth that money and alittle more as a legit 2c and fringe 1c like his potential shows.

I could even see a flip to the jackets for that Chicago pick. A move that would Basically upgrade their own first. Columbus get to keep their own picks that an offer sheet would cost and canes get some revenge. Necas and Vincent can cover 2c just as well as he can and jackets have no centers.
