Description

Vancouver are already good at center (petterson, Horvat). The get Toffoli back + 1 extra year
Not happy to trade Toffoli of course but don't think Hoffman would get me Miller

Would use KK picks + other prospect for a big trade at trade deadline to rent a top 6 player (Timo Meir or Philip Forsberg would be my targets)

How is it not Miller for Toffoli AND? I’m also talking a pretty significant and, because It’s highly unlikely Toffoli repeats the season he just had, especially when he had a lot of his success playing Vancouver.

I don’t see a reason for Vancouver to even contemplate a Miller trade if Toffoli is the main piece coming back.

I could add a B-prospect or a pick, but i don't think Miller is in a different sphere. Also, Toffoli has 3 years remaining in contract, only 2 for Miller.

Miller plays center, Toffoli doesn't and Montreal needs a center badly, that alone gives Miller more value in this situation. GM's don't usually go helping out other GM's just to be nice. At this point Montreal is going to have to overpay to get a center via trade.
