The deadline to announce the offer sheet news is 5:00 EST. Imagine if Montreal matches the offer (I personally don’t think they will). If Montreal does match it, the news should come out 15 minutes before the deadline (for KK’s number 15)

Many other outlets are announcing 5:30pm as well I assume that is accurate

I don't think it's a good idea for Montreal to match the offer. Future years cap space would get messed up especially when you consider the likes of Suzuki and Caufield needing new contracts.

Gotta respect MTL discipline to not give ANY hint of an answer before the deadline.

7 days in, with all the wild horde of journalists hunting for information.

It's now 4:51 eastern time and still nothing!!?

Carolina went all out on social media. Montreal shut everything down. Impressive.

I say MTL match, except if Bergy got a deal for Dvorak, Monahan, Hertl or Eichel. Sooo, yeah, they match.
