Hurricanes have 15 better prospects than Ponomarev and 3rd round picks don't move the needle much. Hurricanes are a good team so draft picks aren't real exciting, if canes want Greenway then offer a better prospect.

I thought he was pretty good. Name a reasonable prospect that you want instead? I think you know who is out of the picture for Greenway.

Been widely reported that he’s signing a mid term extension in the 4m range in January once eligible to do so.

He's not leaving money on the table if literally no one is giving him $6.1m going forward. The Canes gave him that to get him over and then they'll sign him to a longer term deal at a reasonable cap hit.

For a 3rd line left winger… it’s a steep price… unless he gets a 50 pts year (unlikely) i see him get overpay again

If he ends up playing top 6 winger with guys like Aho turbo Troch and Necas 50 points would be reasonable imo
