I'm not sure if that Islanders trade fully works in terms of money for the Islanders or that they'd part of Beauvillier, but I'll say that I think value-wise this is one of the more realistic Rielly trades I've seen on here.

The main issue as I see it is even if Rielly is extended, it would have to be financially feasible for the Islanders. He'd basically have to sign for no more than he's making now which I think is not realistic.

Gonna have to trade Varlamov and his $5M

Things like that are always easier said than done. We shouldn't make trades based on, "they'll figure out a way to make it work."

i think it makes sense for both teams and the value’s pretty fair. i’m just not sure the islanders would give up beauvillier to get rielly, considering pulock’s also up for a big extension next year and i don’t think they have money for both him and rielly.

Beauvillier is the best two way winger on the isles and he s just entering his prime. This trade makes no sense for the isles.

I kinda like the trade as a Leaf. But really, it's this silly "extension" talk. Besides the Isles have their own cap issues next season.
