Hoffman’s 1st goal as a hab, Niku’s first point as a hab, and Drouin has points on 5 of Montréal’s 6 goals this year.

Scoring more than 1 goal in a game, what is this sorcery?

Well Drouin didn’t actually get an assist on the 2nd goal, but now he did on the 3rd, so that’s 5 points on Montréal’s 7 goals.

Mathieu Perreault is the 565th player in history to score a regular season goal for the Montréal Canadiens.

I’ll say, the Romanov - Savard pairing has looked good tonight. I cannot believe it took Ducharme this long to put them together.

What a great night. The likes of which haven’t been seen for 4 months. Life has returned to the Bell Centre, and it was so much fun even watching on TV.

It is just so great to see Perreault score the hatty, and how great it would feel to have the fans of your hometown team chanting your name.

Sounds about right, since 1 out of 5 would be 20% win rate, so 1-6 should be in that ballpark

I just realized that Perreault, Chiarot & Niku were all part of the same Jets team at some point.

68%

I definitely could’ve gotten a few more if I could read the whole explanations. (For some reason my phone was only showing part of it)

Also it is insane that the habs didn’t have any European players until 1982.

Yeah, the website isn't really designed for mobile devices; they want people to buy their mobile app instead.

So Drouin just leaked that Weber has retired?

I mean it’s not news, but he’s also the first person to officially say it, so I’m not sure what the NHL’s pov is on this. But it would suck if Drouin telling the truth ends up forcing Weber to officially retire and costs him $6 million.

It depends if by "retire" he means "voluntarily stepping out of the game" or "never physically able again". Because you can say you retire if you're not fit like Zetterberg did and remain on LTIR, but if you just don't want to play anymore, you leave money on the table like Niskanen.

Yes we all know Weber is done with hockey

But I dont think Drouin is saying Weber will simply end his contract (and hurt Nashville cap) by retiring. I think he simply means that he's done with hockey.

If it's LTIR-retirement or plain retirement, we will see in the future, but something tells me hockey players will rarely leave money on the table
