Best roster Canada would have in the last decade or more perhaps. Especially with Bedard

I’d probably go:
Johnson-Perfetti-Guenther
Bedard-Wright-Jarvis
Greig-McTavish-Sillinger

for the top 9. Second line has 2 of the 3 best undrafted players right now with Jarvis on an all skill line. Perfetti’s a veteran with two top 10 picks from this year. Third line is a brutal checking line, all 3 of those guys are physical and all 3 can light you up as well. Presumably they’d take the most difficult matchups, and then the Perfetti line takes the second most difficult matchups, ideally leaving the kids+Jarvis free reign on whoever’s left, which on most countries won’t be able to handle the skill. Not that I think Wright and Bedard will need sheltering, but being able to unleash them on 3rd lines would be a nightmare for other countries. The 2023 WJC is just simply not going to be fair, Bedard won’t be drafted yet and he’ll probably already be nearly the calibre of an elite NHL player. Fourth line is pretty open I reckon. I’d probably go Neighbours-Lapierre-Foerster. I like the idea of playing Othmann with Wright because of that pre-existing chemistry (especially with Clarke on the back end) but I just think there are better guys than Othmann this year, which would trump chemistry.

If Drysdale isn’t in the NHL, he’s on the top pair. He had a good case for top D last year, he’ll probably win the award this year. Power-Drysdale could possibly be better than Byram-Drysdale last year, and they were arguably both top 3 D in the tournament. Guhle-Clarke is an elite 2nd pair. Ceulemans probably takes 3RD, but O’Rourke or Cormier might take 3LD because they’re older than Lambos.
