I was going to suggest doing a deep dive into Kuzy's use of cocaine, but that's not super current.

Could do something regarding the unvaccinated players being unable to cross the border this year? Olympics was also a good suggestion. Could also do something regarding medical care in sport, tying it into Jack Eichel essentially being forced to choose between accepting the surgery that the team suggests, or sitting out and being suspended by the team. That'd be a pretty far out project though...how many words?

you could always write about the how the NHL is dealing with COVID and the players that are refusing to get vaccinated ..... or the superstars that are refusing or guys like ZR who got cut for not being vaccinated

This is the first time is 1.5 that we are expecting normality in the NHL and it seems like there is a divide between some players vs owner (COVID related)

Could also look at visible minorities in the NHL..... a few different angles to take on that.
