The Kings, NJD and COL all say no those are all over pays. What do the kings want with an older wing that makes way more than he is worth? NJ isn’t paying a higher price for Rust than they got for Hall get real. And COL wouldn’t trade Barron for Marino straight up, why in the world would COL give up 2 1st rd picks for a guy destined to be 3rd pairing in COL?

Young teams who maybe on the playoff bubble this season won't be dropping futures in lopsided trades to get them over the hump. Stanley cup contenders, maybe, but teams like LA & NJ are still building. They may over pay for a veteran, some day, when closer to Lord Stanley (if ever), but this is not one of those seasons

No he wouldn’t. Top 4 regardless what anybody says is going to be Makar, Toews, Girard and Byram. You actually think they would make that trade knowing they have that top 4? If you don’t think Byram is going to be better than Marino I encourage you to watch him there is a reason he was drafted 4th overall.

Actually that's not you're top 4. You have Toews, Girard, Murray and Byram all on the left side. On the right side you only have Johnson and Makar. So you need a RD. And you need to trade Murray to make room for Byram

Actually it is because like I actually watch them and know Girard is better on the right and Byram can play both. Girard played long stretches with Toews and who played right, Girard. The Avs aren’t senseless slaves to we need a RD or LD, they care about how well guys play and how well they play together. So yeah the top 4 is Makar, Toews, Girard and Byram. Then if they really need a right hand to fill it out they have Barron in the minors so on so many levels the Avs say no. And Murray is on a one year deal so how does that affect Barron?

No it’s not. Marino is a nice player but nobody is giving up 2 1st rd picks and a middle 6 forward for a dman that isn’t a true #1 dman or a high end point producer. Barron by himself could be significantly better than Marino the Avs wouldn’t trade Barron for Marino 1 for 1.

Why are there a ton of JAD for Zucker trades lately? Zucker isn't the type of player LA wants. He's too old for the rebuild, is on the decline, and is nearing the end of his contract. It's possible LA would consider giving up a 2nd or 3rd round pick for him at the deadline in 2022-23 as a rental if they miss out on all of the other available options.

JAD, on the other hand, is exactly the type of player the Kings are looking for. The Kings love this kid. He's going to be on the team for a long time.
