I thought the Vegas plan was supposed to be Young players and acquiring draft picks to take certain players?

I don't see Vegas taking a ton of players/picks. They want to win and that isn't a recipe to do so. Maybe one or two if someone if offering a first, but a bunch of 5th rounders to take on bad contracts isn't happening. At least it didn't happen during the other expansions.

Not a bad roster, Though i seriously doubt that George McPhee would ever take both Fleury and Howard that's far too much in Goaltending. And if i'm not mistaken with the 30 man roster i believe the cap can't be any more then $45 million plus you have too think that he's going to sign some UFAs as well.

Doubt they'd take Beleskey and that contract when they'll likely have the choice of McQuaid, Kevin Miller, or potentially (Though he hasn't done much to warrant it) take a flyer on Subban as their third stringer.

Selecting four goalies is a bit of a head scratcher for me. With Fleury and Howard, it's a lot of money in goalies, especially for a team that isn't supposed to be competitive for a handful of years. The best way for him to do this, in my opinion, would be to take some bad contracts and get draft picks, and then trade for bad contracts and good prospects. McPhee will have done his job if Vegas has a top 10 prospect pool in a few years.

They'll get more than 5 rounders lol. Look at the recent transactions. Brian Bickell's 4m contract for 1 year cost the Blackhawks a first round caliber prospect. Marc Savards contract has been traded for big returns as well. Plus Hockey News reported that Vegas want's their best player to be the guy they draft with their first round pick. No need for 30 year old goalies who cost big money, that's just impaired reasoning on how to build a team.

McPhee wants Vegas to be a high powered offense. None of this has offense written on it. I agree with those that say they are going to take on short term deals that will allow them to sell off at the TDL or take on picks for selecting certain players.
