Pens should accept it if Malkin waived. But I doubt they’d do it though.

Pens accept..!!

When healthy Geno is still a top 50 player in the NHL. He had 74 points in 55 games just in 19-20. Last season(20-21) he was playing on one leg and was still buzzing around making defenders look stupid.

If Ovi still got gas left; Geno does too.

I just can’t see Rangers trading a 20 year old, 1st overall pick, still cheap and controllable on a rookie contract, for just half of a season and the play-offs of Geno though.

I don’t know if F.Chytil and a late 2nd gets Dumoulin either. But Laffierine for Geno; I’m in.

In fairness ovi seems one of the most unique players in NHL history it's bonkers he's been able to stay so good given his chaotic physical style early on

Ovi:
2017-18…87 points in 82 games
2018-19…89 points in 81 games
2019-20…67 points in 68 games
2020-21…42points in 45 games..4 points in 5 play-off games.

Ovi: 285 points in 276 games

Geno:
2017-18…98 points in 78 games
2018-19…72 points in 68 games
2019-20…74 points in 55 games
2020-21…28 points in 33 games..5 points in 4 play-off games(again, was playing on one leg; shouldn’t have played at all. Should’ve had the surgery then).

Geno: 272 points in 234 games.

I don’t see a huge difference. Ovi is just 9 months older too.

But yes, Ovi much more physical.

But people forget so quickly. Wait till Geno gets back and is healthy. Like I said, he’s still a top 50 player in the NHL; If not better.

And again, like I said, he was still making defenders look stupid last season, on one leg, at 34 years old. I don’t see Geno not being an over a point per game player when he gets back.

You’re mental if you think Chytil and a 2nd wouldn’t pull dumoulin??? You wouldn’t even get a trade like that for dumoulin. Also Gang let take another hit and dream about a laf for geno trade because that makes sense for the rangers

Dumoulin is one of the best Defensive D-man in the NHL. Contributes enough offensively too.

1st pairing D-man that plays the PK and 22 plus minutes a night. Play-off experience and two time SC winner. Just turned 30 and signed to a good 4M per deal for this season and next.

Ya, find a 1st pairing D-man for a late 2nd and (at best) a soft, 3rd line Center.

Laf for a rental of half season of Geno. The Pens jump all the over that. Geno doesnt resign in NewYork. He probly ends up going to Russia a d the KHL if traded to NY. He probably would t waive his NTC anyways to go NY. So probably a mute point.
