Every day there's more player's testing positive. Having them continue to play seems irresponsible right now. They need to get a handle on things.

Any way, here's the likely lineup for tonight.

They called up Thomson too. I didn’t see where they called up Gus?

Can't see the NHL doing anything about it. Look at Sharks recently, they played BUF with 7 guys out and the head coach out. Making up these games especially against Western conference almost impossible.

The ideal thing to do was give everyone a 2 week break sometime during the season so they have time in case of postponed games

With the Olympics this year, can't see that happening. Already an condensed schedule

I mean, the team isn't too bad.. if you count out Heatherington and the bottom 6 minus Tierney

Does Brännström prefer the LD or is that just where OTT deploys him? Does he play better on his off wing?

Gus was up last game. He backed up Murray in Boston when Forsberg was out with a non COVID illness. Had to wear Forsberg's gear.

Also DJ spoke about how Heatherington can play on the PK, so he's definitely playing.

He's mentioned liking the right side more, but outside of a handful of games in Belleville and a couple of shifts in Ottawa, he's never played off side as a Senator. Dorion mentioned how they think he overplays a D runs himself out of options too much on the right side, and thinks it's difficult for a guy make that transition in the NHL that young, especially as an offensive guy. If he sticks around long enough in Ottawa they might try it out, but I can't see it happening.

Our opponent tonight, the LA Kings, would benefit from a cancellation as well.

If one team on the ice has COVID, then the other team on the ice gets COVID too.

It's that simple.

I'm dumbfounded that the League is not smart enough to figure that out.

The fact that they've been traveling since the cases started is ridiculous. They were in Boston with guys playing who popped positive the next day. Alex Formenton popped, and he was literally inches away from Connor Clifton breathing into his face just before their fight.

Zaitsev tests positive an hour before puck drop. This game Starting to feel like the last time Ottawa played LA.
