Figure you add in $8-8.5M for Boeser, and you're left with roughly $6.75 million to sign 7 players.

Im guessing Boeser, Rathbone and Dipetro (assuming he's the backup) combine to make around 9.75-10.25 million. That leaves about 4.75-5.25 million for a 4th line and one more depth player. If this is the roster for next season (sure hope it's not) it's tight but doable.

I think Boeser gets around $7M, I like him as a player but any more than that and I'd trade him.

He hasn't been playing like he is worthy of 8 - 8.5. Svech is his comparable (that contract was low, but svech is also a bit better). 7.5-7.75 is what I approximate with term.

His qualifying offer this summer is $7.5M. He could very well pull a Laine and sign his QO hoping to get more money the following summer.

He could but its not worth signing him for more than his worth just to keep him, I think he is 7-8 million dollar player.
As much as I like Boeser and he seems like a really well liked guy on the team, I would definitely be open to trade offers on him. Your not going to walk away with a positive value contract with him considering his QO is 7.5.

thats really not that much as you have quite a few players that need to be signed even if you have 2-3 mill left over after you sign a full 23 man roster the following season miller, horvat and hoglander are all free agencts with only hamonic's contracts off the book. miller will get 6.75+ horvat 6+ hoglaner 3.5+ you will be very screwed for cap and will most likely have to move one of them to even have room to sign the other 2

It's possible, though I don't think Brock's ceiling is high enough to net him a contract that is worth trying that. What do I know, though.

If anything he may earn an extra 500k a year on his following contract or inch closer to UFA

That's a problem for the season after next and can be addressed later. Having cap space next season doesn't help us the following year.

that's not how GM's do things lol they make decisions that will help their present day and future. Gm's cannot prioritize just that seaoson they know they have 3 big contracts coming up that year so yes they will make sure that when the time comes they have the needed salary to sign them if they wait till the draft before resign stage teams will abuse them knowing they need to clear cap and you will get minimal assets for your players all because you didn't think for the future. Canucks roster now won't win a cup they have pieces for the future to build a cup contending team ex. petey, hughes, hoglander, podkolzin, Demko, Rathbone but as of now there is to many holes your RHD situation is bad neither myers or hamonic should be playing even close to 20 minutes you might get away with myers as your RHD2 but you need a partner for hughes, Canucks are also young and have little to no playoff experience, that one run won't compare to the teams like boston, tampa, hurricanes, Caps, rangers etc that have players with 100+ games of playoffs. if i was to bet on a team that has little playoff experience to win the cupor even get close to it would be toronto or edmonton both their rosters put canucks to shame, Edmonton is literally a true starting goalie away from being possibly the best team in the NHL

I guess the Canucks should just pack it up and quit now then since you think we are forever screwed?

lol 1 grammar error you are just petty, you don't understand how cap works obviously. just another casual fan who bases everything off point statistics and the name on the back of their jersey

Only 1? Are you sure about that? It's not just the grammatical errors that are the problem, it's unreadable and rambling. Also, do you have a point you are trying to make or are you just here to tell other people that they are wrong?
