Right now the habs play with their backup goalie and their number 4(Montembeault). Behind Petry and Chariot we have no defense. The offensive is struggling. Yep Petry clearly struggle right now but he don't struggle but you need to look at the bigger picture here.

he's 33 now. it's not going to get much better. his play fell off a cliff. no one is going to want to take that risk especially at his price. you can get a decent younger defenseman for $5-6m in free agency. if he was under $5m someone might take a chance.
