What to do with forsberg

I’m a huge fan of forsberg. He has been my favorite pred for years and I want to see he signed and maybe even retire a pred. But I also don’t want to lose him for nothing. I know poile has used our own ufa’s as playoff rentals but I think doing that would be a mistake with forsberg. We are a young team and I honestly don’t think we’re a cup contender. Playoffs is a real possibility and having a fun playoff run is too but winning the cup is a long shot. So do you risk losing a guy that could possibly bring back a 1st and a really good prospect for a good playoff run. It was good getting forsberg back. His 3 points so far in 2 games shows that the injury hasn’t slowed him down but we did win a lot without him so even if we did trade him it’s not like we still couldn’t go on a playoff run. I’m on the fence with this one. I don’t know what I want to happen but I do know I’ll be a forsberg fan where ever he goes. So pred fans or any hockey fan, what should we do with forsberg?

See if he will take the pacioretty deal, or offer him a nugent hopkins style retirement contract.

I don't think I'd go much higher than $7m x 5 or 6. His injury history concerns me, and he would return a pretty solid pick/prospect kind of deal in a trade. I'm happy either way honestly, but I just hope Poile doesn't sit on it and wait for him to walk in FA this summer. That would probably be Poile's final move as NSH GM if that came to pass.
