1. Jake DeBrusk is from here.

2. His father, Louis DeBrusk, used to play for the Edmonton Oilers. He also provides coverage for Rogers Sportsnet and Hockey Night in Canada on the Edmonton Oilers.

3. Ryan Rishaug, the reporter for TSN that broke the story that DeBrusk wants a trade out of Boston, is based out of Edmonton.

4. DeBrusk's agent, Rick Valette of Octagon Athlete Representation, is responsible for negotiating an extension on behalf of Ryan Nugent-Hopkins with the Edmonton Oilers last summer when he was a pending UFA.

5. Valette is also based out of Alberta.

honestly, I don't see a fit for the Bruins and Oilers anymore. The Bruins need someone who can play top 6 forward minutes and the Oilers aren't in a position to deal that because of their own goals. Otherwise, it would be a lateral move for them (potentially downgrade if DeBrusk doesn't fit or work) rather than adding depth.

A 3rd gets it done. But Edmonton doesn’t need debrusk at this point they’d be much better off adding to the blueline

The only reason Ryan got the scoop is because Rick Valette is based out of edmonton to, theres no connection to the oilers other then both parties live in Edmonton

At this point I don't think Edmonton would have any interests in Jake, he has a 4.5 mil qualifying offer which the oilers can't afford nor is he worth that much, and all of our top 9 forwards are either under contract or under team control for next yr plus left wing really isn't a need a more productive right winger is, as it doesn't seem Yamamoto has that high of a upside and his size is a issue
