1. Colorado trade is good for Ottawa.

2. Toronto trade is good for Ottawa.

3. Ottawa will want an additional 5th round pick if we're retaining half of Tierney's salary.

4. Holden should bring back a 4th round pick at a minimum.

5. Dallas trade is good for Ottawa.

6. Tampa trade is good for Ottawa.

Why on earth would the leafs give up a pick to get a worse player?

avs dont need another 3rd goalie, Francouz is coming back and Kuemper isnt a serious thing

Sanford has a Cup. That loss to the Habs should tell you that. Veteran playoff experience. I figured Toronto should have gone after Eric Staal.

Luke Schenn has two cups, whole lotta good he's doing the Canucks.
Eric Staal doesnt even have an NHL contract, and that's for a reason he's been awful.
As far as veteran playoff experience, well Muzzin has a cup, Spezza has gone on tons of deep runs, Mrazek too
How did Bogosian work out? Foligno? Thornton? It's almost like vet playoff experience isnt really a thing that can turn a team around by itself, especially when the player is bad.
