Trouba, hughes, and Fowler won’t sniff the lineup (Fowler probably closest). Pesce, Werenski, McDonagh should be the replacements. Guentzel plays. Eichel won’t be available.

I couldn't disagree more. Tkachuk brings physicality, scoring, speed, agitation and leadership.

Why because he's a defensive dman? He's a pretty damn fine shutdown player. He gets a bad rep because he's overpaid but to say that is pretty shortsighted.

No, because he isn’t very good. You want a defensive d man, take pesce, then a few more guys, then maybe start to think about trouba.

The list of RDs better defensively than Trouba in the USA pool is looong.

Frankly, I'm not sure he'd be ahead of Faulk, Carlo, Roy, Mayfield, Jensen, Pionk or Petry either.

thats why matt tkachuk is on the team. guentzel has been lights out, while tkachuk has done nothing
