So I'm spending my time where I could be coding other features of the site, changing the forum code to cater to your idea, but you don't want any suggestions from me, or didn't even ask my reasoning for the post? Amazing.
Ok, sorry. I was just saying that i think i want to do Vegas. If you want to help make rules for the game, i think you have to be part of the game. You can join if you want, but you don't need to.
He's trying to help us so we should atleast incorporate some of his ideas. This is basically a simulation of what's really going to happen by people who aren't actually the GMs. Therefore we really need Vegas and it's easy to do Vegas. Just have everyone in the Game Submit their list of protected players, then the person doing vegas goes to the Vegas simulator of the site and checks the boxes of those guys so he can't pick them. Then once he's filled it out with all the teams he drafts the players he wants.... it's simple to do, the hard part would be if teams offer trades. For instance if I wanted him to take one of my players, lets say Matt Beleskey, I could write under my protected list post deals. Like if he picks Beleskey he also gets my 4th round pick or whatever I felt was fair to offer him. He doesn't have to pick him, but if he does he gets the pick I offer. That way we can be as "real" as possible and this doesn't just turn into complete daydreams and fantasy.

Read my post above and then this one, I'm pretty sure that guy is the top moderator or owner of this website. I would atleast act like you have a lot of respect for whatever he says because he's probably got the power to ban you from this site for life. I'm not telling you to be afraid of him, or suggesting that he'd ban you for nothing, but he's a pretty important person for this site so you should try to compromise with him and use the help he will offer. Things will turn out way better if he's with us instead of against us.

Oh, i didn't know that he was a site organizer. But i still think it would be fun to have Vegas.

I thought only one person could edit each Vegas team.

Yeah only one person has to do it. You just post here who your protecting then the Vegas GM looks at it and fills it out for himself with the guys you protected.

Vegas saves your last work on it too, then asks if you want to load it when you open the page again, so the Vegas Gm wouldn't have to do everything in just one day either.

Oh, okay. What if we don't have a GM for every team by then? We should probably just use Quick-Protect, except change Fleury to Murray and make a few more changes.
Are we allowed to negotiate or even finalize a trade before all 31 spots are taken?
We're allowed to talk about trades but we can't trade until the offseason. But once the original season is over, any teams that missed the playoffs can make trades. But we can still talk about trades, and we can even get really close, but we can't officially do anything until the season is over. Also, we may re-sign UFAs that are coming up to free agency in the offseason as long as they play for the team that signs them (example: as Montreal you could re-sign Steve Ott, Alexander Radulov, etc, but you couldn't sign Oshie, Alzner, etc yet). Also, i ask that you do not post stuff like, "we re-sign every single UFA we have." Also, as much as NHL players are ridiculously overpaid, i will ask for signings to be based on the amount of money that everyone else is getting (example: please no re-signing Radulov for 70K a year, or even 700K a year, and more like maybe 3mil a year to 7mil a ear, etc). Hopefully this helps!

Thanks for that, it helps a lot. Also, when we get to July 1, if more than one team wants a player how do we decide where he goes? Since we can't take player preference into account, would it just be like an auction?

I think we each make offers, and once someone offers more money than anyone else wants to pay the player, he signs with that team.
