Kunin

Team: 2021-22 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 4, 2022
Published: Jan. 4, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Nashville reportedly has interest in DeBrusk, him and Kunin have similar numbers this year and Boston really needs a righty in their middle-6. Both are 24 years old RFAs at the end of this year though DeBrusk costs more $$ so Boston coughs up a pick.
As nice as his most recent goal was, Haula doesn’t belong on the second line so I think the Bruins should focus on getting someone who can play center in exchange for DeBrusk, rather than a winger like Yamamoto; Kunin is much better at finishing than Yamamoto as well.

I’d rather keep Kunin. Cheaper to re-sign and more versatile than DeBrusk. It’s not his best year, but I don’t see the need to trade him.

Same.

FWIW @Dom_Sweely, Kunin hasn't really played center in NSH at all, so I'm not certain if you're getting someone who can handle 2C duties. Can I ask where you heard the Debrusk to NSH rumours? I follow the Preds pretty closely, and haven't heard that one.

I’ve seen Nashville has interest in DeBrusk previously and I’m open to a swap bc it opens up a spot on the 2nd line for Tomasino. So I’m ok with the trade but if you are looking for a center I don’t think Kunin has played much (if any) center at the nhl level

He came up a center and played a bit of center with the Wild, but majority has been at wing. DeBrusk just seem like he's a fit for Nashville's identity right now.

Id be good with debrusk. I really like the idea if we are going to end up losing Forsberg. Makes room on the right for tomasino and debrusk tries to fill that Forsberg size hole (he won’t do it completely but better than nothing)
