Bruins are going to sign Rask and send Swayman down to minors.
EDM goaltending is the key to saving the prime years for 97 and 29.
EDM media is starting to look for blood.
Holland has always been a win now, no matter the cost type GM.
Swayman is better than Vldar (who is tearing it up for CGY), but Ullmark has NMC, so he and/or Rask will end up in the BOS goal for the next 4 years.
Super cheap solution for EDM.
Banners hang forever.

For two firsts I think Edmonton would want to include Koskinen. Would give them some cap flexibility for the tdl.

Maybe add another third or fourth going to Boston

Beggars can't be choosers.
BOS not taking salary back - they don't have the cap space.

Noted about the cap but Edmonton does have other options. They could go the rental route with someone more experienced like Fleury or Holtby and part with less draft capital.

I will also admit some bias as a Leafs fan. Swayman has looked great so far in a small sample size but Raycroft did as well. Two firsts is a big gamble but if Swayman becomes elite the price is well worth it

1 first and a low end prospect and they probably do it

I am a big Swayman fan, however this likely a deal that the Bruins move on to fill up the empty prospect shelves. I would have thought the Bruins would give Swayman the crease and sign a lower veteran to back him up vs Ullmark - so perhaps the brass would be compelled for an offer this good.

Negative. Even this is something they would have to really really think about.

Swayman for <$1M AAV is a long term solution.
Mike Smith, Holtby, Fluery, Halak and all the other old and past their prime goalies are lower odds than PowerBall.
Future is now for EDM.
Those picks aren’t going to be top 10.
TBL traded first round picks to get the Cup once they had elite talent.
Copycat league.
Do what works.
