No, Minnesota doesn't do this! The Miller thing has died! Jt Miller isn't worth fiala and a 1st round pick, not even a 2nd with fiala! This has been discussed to adseum by wild fans and Canucks fans, and we aren't interested! Jt Miller is good, but not that much better than fiala and being overrated!

GophersBenJ: Fair enough! I think purely looking at the player ability, I would agree with you. This was my thoughts for why I believe it could be worth a First + Fiala

1. Point Production: Millers 1.06PPG to Fialas 0.67PPG
2. Contract Security: Miller has an additional year at 5.25M. good value rental for this production. Fiala's next contract is 6M+. Suters and Parise's Buyout also kick in next year. Is there enough cap for Fiala?
3. Position: JT plays centre and 1A/B centres arent cheap. A 1-2-3 punch of Miller - Eriksson Ek - Hartman is Top 5 in the NHL.

Reasons Against
1. Age - Fiala is 3 years younger
2. Prime - Miller is in his prime right now. Fiala still has several years to go.

Love to hear your thoughts.

Fiala + a 2nd for Miller is a pretty generous ask by Vancouver if you ask me, not outrageous, but it's definitely not playing hard ball with Miller's market, but I do agree there shouldn't be a 1st rounder coming back along with Fiala

Jt Miller is definitely not a true C , or a 1, 2c. Fiala will easily get a 1st and top 6c prospect so jt Miller age 30 and free agent next year isn't worth even two 1st round picks this year. Jt Miller plays with better players and yet Fiala and him have almost similar numbers. Minnesota will trade Fiala as a part for a true top 6c

Fiala’s stats are nowhere near Miller’s. Miller has 36 points in 34 games, while Fiala has 21 points in 31 games. Miller also plays C, and is on a bargain of a contract. Stop being a homer and overvaluing every Wild player when other players are clearly better. You’re overrating Fiala by saying he’s essentially as good as Miller when he’s not (even though Fiala is still a great player)

You are the one overvaluing Miller because of who he plays with. He's also not a c. He's a winger praying c, stop being such a homer yourself. Guess what, Minnesota isn't doing this no matter what you think

Miller has actually been producing while most of his line mates have been slumping all year round, something you would know if you had been paying attention this season. Stop thinking you can get great players while giving up nothing but scraps. Miller would instantly become a top 2 F on the Wild

Again, no. Minnesota isn't a top 6c, stop pretending he's. He's like Hartman whose a winger playing a c. A Canucks fans started this thread. Not Minnesota fans! This already has been argued. Minnesota doesn't want jt Miller whose not a straight c. To think jt who plays with better player than Fiala whose been playing with rask, freddy g is laughable! Minnesota also wouldn't be adding much to fiala for jt, even your other Canucks fan agreed

Miller has played C before this season, and has played C practically all of this season, and done so at an elite level. He is easily a top 6 C. To say he isn’t shows you don’t know hockey

No, it shows you are a bias and blind fan. He was playing 3c and was playing lw for most of the time! You are showing to be blind to who jt Miller is

You’re obviously blind to who JT Miller is. Top 10 in the league in points, a PPG player the last 3 seasons, and plays both C and LW at an elite level. You’re telling me a 3rd line C averages over 21 minutes of ice time per game?

The biggest homers by far. All their players are either untouchable or overvalued by them

The Minnesota Wild fans are for sure out to lunch. I wouldn't do this trade as a Canucks fan. It would be a way under sell. I think part of the problem is they have been mediocre for so long they don't understand what it actually costs to improve your team as a contender.

Pittsburgh also seems to have their share as well, and you get the occasional Hurricanes or Jets fan that thinks their favorite teams players are all toast of the town no matter where their team is in the standings. Some Devils and Rangers fans are pretty delusional too

To put this in context, I don't mind Bruins fans here, Lightning fans, Flyers fans, or Panthers fans. They can all be somewhat reasonable at least
