As a fan of neither team, Chychrun is good but damn that's too much to give up imo. Bourgeault looks really good and you're giving up Puljujarvi and two other firsts and a second (which while unlikely could honestly be lottery picks) on top of that. Also massive overpay to Toronto, you're paying them a 1st 2nd and 4th for some guys who aren't that much more than cap dumps.

To put it a different way, this team doesn't look THAT much better than what the Oilers are currently icing and you're giving up basically three years worth of draft picks to do it.

This team is the same as they are now. A top 6 that is very good but the rest of the team sucks. The top 6 is good primarily due to McDavid and Draisaitl.

Lol. Imagine calling a player that's producing at a 0.73 PPG pace (on pace for 60 points), can play all 3 forward positions anywhere in your top 9, brings a very good forechecking game with tons of speed, kills penalties, and is signed not only for the rest of this season but also next season at a cap hit of $3.5M and doesn't even make that much in real cash.. imagine calling him "someone who isn't that much more than a cap dump" and thinking it's a valid opinion.

Kerfoot is out pacing Hyman this year and Hyman signed for $2M more per year and for 7 seasons. And no one is saying that Hyman would be "that much more than a cap dump"

Kerfoot would easily return a quality return to any team. At minimum it'd be a 2nd and a prospect/roster player. Don't know how that's considered a "cap dump".

Apologies if it wasn't clear, one 1st (this year) was for the Keith contract (if he's willing to be traded, based on the approximate amount the Leafs paid to get rid of the Marleau contract with the Canes), a 1st (if they're better next year almost a 2nd), a 2nd, a roster player and a prospect for a 23 year old, highly touted D man.

I could be way off, but I thought I saw a few ACGM's that had him in pretty rich trades. I didn't want to undervalue him - he's looking like a stud on a bad team. Usually with these high-end guys the actual trades end up somewhere in the middle lol.
