Description
The most difficult part of any of these ACGM teams for the Sabres is Okposo and Girgensons. They each have one year left on their deals, so there is no real point in moving them and they are the clear veteran leaders, and the team needs that. Their presence really limits bringing anyone in as a free agent, especially if Peterka, Quinn, and Krebs are full-time next season. Benching them is almost not an option but at the same time it may be the only option for new players to come into the lineup on the wing.

Lawson Crouse will cost more. I'm not sure if I like this deal with Tampa.

I thought that Henri Jokiharju was seen as an entirely viable NHL defender. It seems odd to me that rather than add Cernak to Jokiharju, you're constructing a trade where you end up with Cernak minus Jokiharju.

It seems to me that he chose bad target, it would be foolish for Tampa to trade Cernak, we need to look elsewhere and not trade Joki or Mittelstadt.

Why would he cost more? I don’t think he’s a fit, but just curious.

The guy’s highest point totals is 25. He’s a more expensive/ slightly better Murray.

Ya tampa def doesn’t do this deal, cernak is one of the best defensive dmen in the league, jokiharju will be at best a bad replacement for cernak and middlestadt is already a certified bust

Because he is a good third line player and his skills will be very useful in the playoffs. Look at what teams paid for guys like Goodrow and Foligno not so long ago. Arizona will ask 1st for him and it seems to me they will get it. Murray? If you're talking about Brett Murray, then Crouse is a better and more proven player. Murray's main problem is his skating and speed, he looks slow for the NHL, he needs to improve that to play regularly in the NHL.

You got to get to the playoffs before you send any assets for a player like this.

Yes, but I don't think Buffalo is going to trade for Crouse, even though we have three first rounds this year, our needs next season will be a top 4 RD and a decent goalie to support UPL.
