Tough one to judge for the Oilers.

On one hand, the Oilers need to seriously upgrade their goaltending. I don’t have interest in Allen as he is not a starter. We need someone who when paired with Skinner gives us some confidence. Allen doesn’t do it for me.

On the other hand, Kassian has been one of the most disappointing players I have ever watched and would do anything to get rid of him. I don’t think he’s had a good game since he signed his contract right before the pandemic.

Would prefer if we could bump down the 2nd rounder, but probably do this just to get rid of Kassian

Without the second round I dont think Montreal should do the trade, they do get a good prospect but like you said Kassian have bad contract and we would lose Allen as well.

avs would decline, like Lehkonen but Helleson holds more value to the avs, its an OP for him.

What do you think Montreal should add to get him or he's untouchable?

Probably not untouchable, but he’s definitely a prospect on the rise. He’s in the midst of a third very solid year at BC, was very good at WJCs last year, and is set to play for the US in the Olympics. If they were to move him it’s probably for something more impactful than Lehkonen.

Helleson isnt untouchable, just that if hes traded hes going to be in a trade with a bigger impact player. Lek is very good defensively but he has little to no offensive pop to his game. He is a lesser version of what the avs already have in Nichushkin.
