Do you really think Zibs is waiving his NMC for Edmonton?
Probably a big cap has to traded for McDavid, so what team has that type of player that is available to trade?

Panarin seems like the only option from NYR but he wont waive

Most 10m players have trade protection. How would you like to be the guy traded to Edmonton "to replace McDavid." I just don't see the Oilers trading McDavid.....gee would look like Gretizky all over again.
The Oilers problem is giving up big contracts to the the undeserving, not McDavid or Draisaitl. Now McDavid might get traded in his last season as an Oiler as 11 years will been enough for McDavid. He will finish his career elsewhere.
