Kane is next level toxic and I don’t think oilers have the room to handle him

Too much, if they sign Kane he goes into the top 6 somewhere and makes it much better, he's a dirtbag but he's a legit top 6 winger which the Oilers could use.

Adding Kane drops Yamamoto down to the 3rd line which makes for a Foegele-McLeod-Yamomoto line which should be decent enough and makes the Oilers bottom six look a lot more respectable and they should be able to build a decent 4th line with the guys they have left though if there's a decent 4th liner or two that could be added cheaply I'd consider it.

Think then they should trade for a retained Da Haan to help the defense a bit, wouldn't trade Broberg as the Oilers will need his ELC and he could be a future top 4 dman for them sooner then later.

Would just run Smith and Skinner as the goalie tandem and see what happens.

Some minor to medium changes are what the Oilers should be doing imo.

My issue is we need to win now, dehaan is a difference maker, it cost a lot to get a lot. My reasoning for hyman and nuge on the third line is to make sure we have three line, we already know jesse and conor are solid and kane is a better compliment than kahun or archibald, ive liked what ive seen from foegle drai and yamo so that can be a really good second line, foegle contrat can turn into a value producing on the secpnd line with drai ans yamo, now nuge hyman and mcloed on the third line, what stopping us from have a good top six and the best third line in the nhl. i just think the opportunity is there why not. nuge hasnt been producing 5v5 so you put him with lesser comp on the third line but give him real winger and they will shine

No to the Klingberg trade for sure. This team shouldn't be sending prime assets out for rentals.

i would personally say spending the first and samo to get rid of barrie and barries contract not just the rental, barrie does nothing for our team with that contract anymore that bouchard cant, so ur not only paying for the rental but for the cap space for years to come
